Hush Acoustics LLC provides noise and vibration consulting services to building and construction professionals. We have worked on a wide variety of project types, including residential developments, commercial and retail spaces, hotels, broadcast and recording studios, cultural and religious spaces, government spaces, libraries, schools, parks, and industrial facilities.

Mr. Ehrlich, founder of Hush Acoustics, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia, and is a member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineers (INCE) and the ASTM. Additionally, Hush Acoustics is a member of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC) and is certified as a Small Business Enterprise with the Virginia Department of Minority Business Enterprises.
Gary Ehrlich - Founder and Principal
Gary Ehrlich founded Hush Acoustics in 2006 after working for 15 years at other acoustical consulting firms. He has applied his expertise in acoustics to a wide variety of projects, providing his clients with successful and cost-effective noise control treatment plans. He has also contributed to the publication of many studies and standards used in the acoustical consulting industry, including partial authorship of the ANSI standard for education environments and a technical guide for aircraft sound insulation. He specializes in architectural acoustics as well as transportation noise reduction for new land developments. Gary's passion for acoustics and engineering translates to first-class service for his clients.
Andrew Acquaviva - Acoustics Associate
Andrew joined Hush Acoustics in 2017 after graduating from Penn State University with a Master's in Acoustics and working at Cerami and Associates for 3 years in New York City. Andrew specializes in commercial interior fit-out and mechanical and plumbing noise reduction, but has worked on almost every project type in the industry, including multi-family residential buildings, core and shell, building isolation, retail, cinemas, fitness centers, and recording studios, among many others. An avid musician, Andrew participates in composing and performing in local music groups.
